Professional Interests/ Specialties:

Dr. Kling believes that healthy living is built upon developing balance in life, having a sense of optimism about the possibilities of the present and future, and creating satisfying relationships. Therapy is directed at changing the thinking and behavior patterns that interfere with a person's ability to achieve a meaningful life. It also functions as a safe avenue for developing and practicing new approaches to the challenges of life and learning coping skills for life stresses. Since individuals differ even if they have similar problems, Dr. Kling structures treatment to fit the particular needs of each of her clients.

Although Dr. Kling works with a variety of issues, she has particular expertise in the area of eating disorders. Prior to coming to Northwest Arkansas, Dr. Kling was the clinical director of Charis Center for Eating Disorders, a clinic of Clarian health Partners (Methodist Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, and University Hospital) in Indianapolis, Indiana. While at Charis Center, Dr. Kling developed and was one of the providers of therapy services for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), programs for the more severe or chronic eating disorders. In addition, Dr. Kling and a colleague developed and co-coordinated the eating disorder treatment team at Ball State University. Dr. Kling is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders.

Dr. Kling's practice also includes treatment of depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, abuse, trauma, and other life concerns. Therapy with Dr. Kling focuses on establishing patterns of healthy communication, respect, and compassion for self and others. Dr. Kling helps her clients develop skills in the use of non-blaming language, responsibility in actions, and resources for healthy family or couple life.

Dr. Kling lives with her husband, two Golden Retrievers, and three cats.
